Well after six weeks in Blenheim, I finally get to move on. Although I was planning on another two weeks here, I’m surprised I even made it this far.

It didn’t even feel like I was in New Zealand while I was here. Except on the weekends and that’s where these pictures are from. Sorry they’re all coming up at once, but this is really my only chance to upload anything. You might have to flip through a few pages of them to see them all.

On Tuesday I’m headed in the general direction of South. I don’t know which way I’ll take, but I know for sure that it’ll be towards southeastern Otago, Southland, and Fiordland National Park. I get to camp in some of the most amazing spots on the planet, not to mention next to penguins. I have been waiting for this trip since I’ve been in New Zealand and now that the weather is finally tolerable I’m sprinting down that way. My internet access will be extremely limited, but I’ll try and get up as many photos as possible along the way!

I don’t know what kind of bird this is…but I’ll call him Jake.
